You Are What You Eat…That Goes for Your Skin Too!
Blog Post by: Jennifer Pulsifer
On a Friday night after a long work week, the last thing we want to do is cook let alone prepare a meal that is both delicious and nutritious. We go for pizza, take-out, something that is fast and easy. Even local grocery stores are changing their store layouts to provide already prepared meals right at our fingertips. It is available to us and we are tired, so we go for it. Most of the time we don’t even think about it and we especially don’t think about what we are actually putting into our bodies. We go by taste and taste alone. It’s cheap and it tastes good. However, it is not just a saying. It is a fact. You are what you eat. Cheap and fast is not always a good choice and there are so many studies out there to prove it. According to a Cambridge University study, after five days on a high-fat diet, the treadmill performance of lab rats declined by half. Half! We eat food that tastes good and we don’t even think about what is in it. When we do want to eat well, the nutrition comes at a cost. Why is it that we can grab a burger and fries for $6.00, yet it costs $6.00 for an organic cauliflower? No wonder our brains are confused. It is frustrating and difficult at times to make healthy decisions, but it is possible, just as it is possible to purchase natural, affordable products for our skin.
Our bodies absorb the vitamins and nutrients of foods that we eat and flush out what we don’t need as waste. These nutrients are required to keep our organs functioning, give us energy, walk, talk, etc. Without proper fuel, we don’t function well. If I didn’t put gas in my car, it wouldn’t run. Our bodies work the same way. We don’t just absorb the food we put in our mouth, our skin absorbs what is put on it as well. This is why it is so important to be careful with what we put on our skin. There are so many products on the market claiming to give astonishing results and I guarantee you if you read the list of ingredients, you won’t have a clue what half of them are. Plus, some creams and lotions are crazy expensive and don’t even work. When I started using Nature’s Natural Solutions (NNS), I found out very quickly that not only was I able to afford their products that are priced at a very reasonable cost, I knew exactly what was in the products. Real ingredients. What is more natural than goats milk? Goats milk has been used for years and has so many nourishing benefits. I finally found products that are natural, work great, smell amazing and I can feel good about. Beauty really is skin deep and I am so happy that I am taking care of my skin.
